How I got into science
My whole life, I have always been fascinated by social norms and how people effortlessly follow, and conform, to them. For instance, I find it so interesting how every interaction has an implicit script, and if someone even slightly deviates from it, it can completely shift the interaction dynamic, for everyone. As I got older, I realized I could actually study this very thing that never failed to entertain me, that being the psychology of human behavior. However, that just wasn't enough for me. Growing up, I was that annoying child who always asked, "Why?"; I wanted to understand not only how something worked the way it did, but why it ends up being that way, so this is where my love for neuroscience comes in. To me, neuroscience is the foundational framework for psychology, and that is what I want to understand and devote my life to: understanding not just the "how" of human behavior, but also the "why".
Non-science biography
When I am not looking at, or learning about, brains, I love to be around people. I love to hang out with my family and friends wether it involves going on random errands or sitting silently, with one another, watching TV. But of course, my favorite creature to be around is my pet bunny; I love her more than anything in this world and enjoy her company most of all. When I do find myself alone, I like to go for walks to not only get some exercise (gyms stress me out), but to see what other people are up to.
